Customised power solutions

Serving the retail market with standard "off the shelf" generator set products to meet smaller applications. At the other end of the scale Barloworld Power has in-house design and engineering capabilities (electrical, mechanical and civil) to customise solutions to any power need including mining applications, large projects to supplement grid power and marine propulsion. Stand alone power plants are generally between 5mW and 30mW per installation.
Our capabilities for electric power generation typically include the construction of power plant rooms, fuel tanks, piping, ventilation, exhausts, and project management. Solutions can be fuelled by HFO, diesel or gas.

Installations can be fixed or temporary and in respect of the latter, containerised power modules of either 1000kVA or 2000kVA configured as plug and play sets which are suitable for a variety of power requirements particularly in the entertainment, sporting and standby power markets.

Barloworld Power’s Customised Solution Centre is a standalone generator packaging business that adds value to both Cat and Perkins sets for use in manufacturing, industrial and commercial applications.

 

After sales support

After sales offerings incorporate 24 hour service capability in marine, commercial engines, electric power generation and locomotive support. Maintenance contracts are tailored to customer requirements for standby, prime and continuous power applications and can include technical analysis inspections and condition monitoring.

Off site monitoring offered to customers includes engine diagnostics, fuel tank levels, hours run and other services to ensure uninterrupted power.

Rental

A complete range of Cat generators, ranging from 15KVA to 2000KVA single units are available for rent. Generators can also be synchronised to provide permanent power solutions with backup. The units are reliable, safe, easy to transport and operate. Rapid response backup is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
