A Barloworld Equipment warranty repair restores a product or component to the operating conditions existed prior to the failure
A warranty repair restores the product by repairing/ replacing only the defective parts which are no longer serviceable, as well as the damaged parts such as gaskets and seals which are integral to the repair.
Parts removed during repair work are reinstated “as is”. And the failed parts become the property of Barloworld Equipment.
The Standard New Machine Warranty period for defective material and/ or workmanship is 12 months and unlimited hours from date of sale.
Parts replaced during the standard warranty period are covered under the standard warranty period and therefore covered for the balance of the standard warranty.
The warranty is only applicable to the Republic of South Africa, Swaziland, Lesotho, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique, Malawi, Angola, Zambia and Zimbabwe. If warranties are required outside these territories, Barloworld Equipment will supply the parts under warranty, but labour, travel and other related expenses will be for the customer’s account.
The Parts Warranty period for defective material and/or workmanship extends for 6 months from date of sale. If a new part fails within three months from the purchase date, it is replaced and retains the balance of the original warranty – 3 months.
Inception of Warranty
Before the delivery of a machine, safety, maintenance and operating procedures are explained to the customer by a Barloworld Equipment representative. The delivery service record is then completed and signed, indicating the official commencement of the warranty. This document is also a legal registration of the warranty and contains all relevant information.
